A diet for the pregnant woman should include 100-120 grams of proteins for daily portion. This quantity should include approximately 70-90 grams of animal origin proteins for example proteins of milk, cottage cheese, kefir, fermented baked milk, yoghurt, eggs, meat and fish.
During pregnancy requirement for fats (counted all fats that comes with food) are considered about 80-100 grams, and 20 grams should make fats of vegetable origin. Carbohydrates in a diet of the pregnant woman should be no more than 350-400 grams for the day. In second half of pregnancy the maximum of carbohydrates should be no more than 300 gram per day; you need to reduce the quantity of bread, flour products, sugar and to increase a little bit the amount of proteins. It is strongly recommended to take the food 4 or 5 times daily and in small portions. Accordingly we advise you the following distribution of caloric content of dishes: the breakfast 30 %; second breakfast 10 %; the dinner 40 %; the mid-morning snack 10 % and the supper 10 %. Last food intake should be 2 or 3 hours prior to a dream and consist from easy digestible products (kefir, curdled milk, cottage cheese).

Dishes to prepare boiled, stewed or baked. There is no need of the special temperature mode of dishes. Salt is limited, about 5-6 grams a day because it promotes a liquid delay that as a result gives pathological increase of weight. For the whole day it is recommend to use 1-1,5 liters of liquids. Daily reception of the various multivitamins and mineral preparations for pregnant women is obligatory.
