The growing uterus (womb) props up the stomach, and the progesterone (pregnancy hormone) reduces the decreases the tonus of flat muscles including the gullet sphincter, that forcing you to suffer from heartburn. One more very unpleasant problem that common for the second half of pregnancy is gestosis.
Doctor used to explain this by endocrinal disorders, obesity and chronic diseases; for instance pyelonephritis and hypertonic. Nowadays doctors came up with a new version of gestosis origin (described with high blood pressure, kidney problems, existence of protein in urine, and edema) – it is wrong nutrition and lack of vitamins.
The baby grows quite fast with growing requirements, and he/she make up them at the expense of his (her) mother body – and here is the origin of the problems.
No matter how you feel, it is time to do some radical corrections.
• Put less salt in your food. Exclude all types of smoked meet products, tinned products, hot, fatty and sour-fermented meals, as well as chocolates, peanuts, and tropical fruits.
• Do not refuse eating meat (but not at night), and especially don’t refuse fish. It provides your body with iodine and polyunsaturated fatty acids that stabilizes (normalizes) the cardiovascular system operation.
• Do not limit yourself; eat as much as you want, but no macaronis with mayonnaise, candies, cakes, caloric porridges, especially buckwheat and oat porridges, as well as chops and the ragout. Vegetable salads are very nourishing, appetizing and low-calorie but at the same time they are rich with cellulose with stimulates the intestines operation.
• As a preventive measure against constipation use the following products: curdled milk, fermented baked milk, the kefir, steamed out and dried fruits, and also a fig and raw carrots salad with a grated apple dressed with the spoon of sour cream.
• Drink no more than 1.5-2 liters of the liquids during the day (including soup, juice, milk), and in case of hypostases propensity– 1 to 1.2 liters. Check once a week how much you drink – how much you should reduce. The difference in average will be 200-300 ml considering the losses at sweating, breath and losses via digestion system.
• To prevent the heartburn, eat more often (5-6 times a day) in small portions. It is very helpful to use products with neutralizing properties – so-called food antacid (anti acid): cream, sour cream, cottage cheese, soft-boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, and also fish and chicken, a dried white bread (the fresh bread and soft bread activates the heartburn). Boil the vegetables, and grate them in case if you have the persistent heartburn, make them well grated. Apples and other fruits are better to bake.
